The Calathea Ornata has eye catching dark green foliage with beautifully striped leaves. This plant is a member of the prayer plant family and thrives in higher humidity environments.  Be sure to avoid direct sun or it may burn the leaves and leave them with loss of color. 
Requirements:
• High humidity 
• Bright indirect light
• Distilled water when watering 
• Well draining soil, high in organic matter 
• Fertilizer in growing months 
• Keep away from drafts and cold air temperatures
